Help finding books

Welcome to the wonderful world of ebooks! Our library now contains approximately 11,000 new titles in electronic books through NetLibrary. Below is a brief tutorial about our new ebooks and how to access them.

In an Athena search, an electronic book (ebook) is indicated by a small world icon:

You will also notice that no call number appears next to the book's title:

Clicking on the title of the ebook will provide you with more information about that title:

At the bottom of the details screen, you will see a link to NetLibrary. Clicking on this link will take you to the Net Library website:

The NetLibrary homepage will indicate that you are a member of the Art Institute of Charlotte in the upper right-hand corner. If this is your first visit to NetLibrary, be sure to create a free account so that you can "check out" ebooks and access our Library's ebook holdings through NetLibrary from home. The "Create a Free Account" link is in the uppermost right-hand corner of the page:

To browse the contents of the book before checking it out, simply select "View ebook":

The "view ebook" screen allows you to navigate the ebook by chapters and save pages of the book in pdf format:

Congratulations! That's it!! You are now ready to begin using NetLibrary and finding great information in ebooks! Happy hunting!
